The Company

Founded in 1940, Solgas is one of Peru’s leading energy companies, specializing in the commercialization and distribution of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) for residential, commercial, and industrial customers. Through an extensive nationwide distribution network, the company supplies energy solutions to thousands of households and businesses across the country. As a leading player in the energy sector, Solgas continues to advance its digital transformation strategy by enhancing customer experiences, strengthening its digital channels, and improving operational efficiency. The company continuously invests in modernizing its platforms to deliver faster, more personalized, and more reliable services to its customers.

The Challenge

Solgas' distribution division required a technology solution to support its two business lines: B2C home gas delivery and B2B bulk gas distribution for commercial customers. The company lacked end-to-end visibility into work orders assigned to carriers, making it difficult to track key logistics events such as plant departures, customer arrivals, delivery start times, incidents, and other disruptions throughout the distribution process.

Additionally, Solgas needed to issue electronic payment receipts and replace inefficient manual processes used for gas dispatch in its B2B operations.

The Solution

We designed and developed a web and mobile solution built around three core modules: dispatchers, carriers, and customers. The platform enables work assignment, real-time event generation, geolocation tracking, and end-to-end order monitoring.

It includes Web APIs for integration with back-office systems, as well as integration with Digiflow for electronic invoicing and submission to SUNAT. For the B2B business, we implemented an IoT solution that connects the mobile application with a mass flow meter, automating gas measurement, dispatch, and operational recordkeeping.

Benefits

  • Significantly reduced effort required for shipment tracking and monitoring.
  • Greater traceability, speed, and transparency throughout the gas distribution process.
  • Optimized truck routes, reducing detours and idle time.
  • Real-time mobile invoicing at the point of delivery.
  • Integration with SAP ERP, simplifying invoicing and settlement processes.
  • Reliable, real-time information to support operational decision-making.
